dβVerse is taking a break for the holidays so there wonβt be any prompts for a whileβ¦
So Iβll be trying out a few new forms with prompts born of my mind instead!
I considered the idea of responding to prompts from other groups, but dβVerse satisfies my creative curiosity more than well enough β and I donβt want to spend all of my time responding to poetry prompts.

Wow! Such brilliant usage of words. I loved everyone of them.β€οΈ
I attempted a diamante few months back and posted it in WP too…π
Hemalatha,
Thanks! Could you send me the link to your diamante poem? I’d love to see it π
-David
Sure!
Here’s is the link: https://frameofsoul.home.blog/2020/10/16/contrasts/
Small, glittering, extremely precious gems,
Diamonds in the rough (common euphoric expression for underlying brilliance)
Rocks, crystal and clear,
Rhinestone sequins, an impressive array of diamante –
Woven reflections, penned on a poet’s blank designer page.
In preparation for distinctly ornated and embellished literary garments
Originals, Coming our way.

I like them all, but perhaps “writer~reader” is my favorite. Well, I hope you enjoy the holidays with your loved ones.
I’m glad you’ve selected your gem, Angela π
I felt like going on and on, but six felt like a reasonable place to stop.
Thank you,
David
I think you have been generous, and given everyone something they relate to.

Dwight
Thanks, Dwight π
On the one hand, they’re simple to write… on the other hand, every word counts, which makes me think about which ones I want to use!
