My blogger-poet-friend Ingrid inspired me to create a Twitter account and start writing #APoemADay, which I began on January 1, 2021.
Below is my second week of Twitter poems:
Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem,
David
Would it be cheating
— Skeptic's Kaddish (@kaddish_s) January 9, 2021
to copy poems from my blog
onto Twitter?
I wonder.
Whom would
I cheat if I am
writing #APoemADay
for myself?
Time seems
to blur as I am writing
and tweeting days ahead
of time anyway.
I don't
even know
when I wrote this one

A steamy poem
— Skeptic's Kaddish (@kaddish_s) January 10, 2021
filled my nostrils
wafted up to
my mind
I could see
it
in the air
when I breathed
out
into the cold@Experimentsinfc #APoemADay pic.twitter.com/epvL9StzjK

I cannot think you enough, Dear

Poem, for you are
my everything
I walk around mumbling
you, but words
sound better unspoken#APoemADay @Experimentsinfc pic.twitter.com/zI0gpJGbBq
Swallowed
— Skeptic's Kaddish (@kaddish_s) January 13, 2021
by my computer screen I
find myself
looking straight
into your eyes
How are you?#APoemADay @Experimentsinfc pic.twitter.com/i4aQr2Pu4Q
Showering
— Skeptic's Kaddish (@kaddish_s) January 14, 2021
Window open
Breeze blowing lightly
Forehead against cold tile
Water hot enough to steam
Skin reddening
Sensations
Poetry perhaps
Life certainly
Death eventually pic.twitter.com/Gq2RlL4x7P
I suppose I
— Skeptic's Kaddish (@kaddish_s) January 15, 2021
No longer value life
No longer see a point
No longer mind
It's okay. It's
Inevitable.
Don't mind
me. I'm dying
to tell you everything. pic.twitter.com/sk7cWs44Nn

In the good ole days before the pandemic era, I used to write a poem a day incorporating at least three daily prompts!🤭
Now I feel good if I write weekly! 😅
Keep writing, David. Some very profound thoughts in your twitter poetry. ❤️
I struggle with just the d’Verse prompts – any more than that is too much for me, let alone including more than one prompt per poem! I don’t know how you and others do it! Thanks, Punam!
(BTW, how did pandemic era affect your blogging?)
-David
You are welcome, David. I am intimidated by the calibre of poets who write for d’Verse prompts, so I content myself with reading their poems!
Writing daily was not a problem. But with both the kids and hubby at home 24/7, I found I didn’t have enough time to read and write. So had to cut down my blogging.
I did write about it in my previous poem.
Oh, YEAH! I remember that poem – I loved it!
(I’d forgotten that you were the one who wrote it 😳)
🙄😂😂
