  • I am sticking with the ‘Nature Poet’ virtual magnet set for now because it’s the least comfortable for me to use;
  • Yesterday, I wrote my first ‘Magnetic Poem’ haiku, using this same set;
  • To be honest, I am not usually much for haikus, but this exercise feels very productive; and I am deliberately sticking with the haiku form;
  • I find myself especially pleased with this particular poem.

      1. David, your beautiful haiku prompted me to have a go and create my first – with the original kit. Had to type copy into wp post (see there). I take it you may have taken a screen shot; too complicated for me, but anyhow… πŸ™‚

  1. This poem reads like one where you were free to roam, or stroll (haha) with your words, not confined by a random selection. I clicked on your magnetic link. Hope you get a few cents. haha
    Is the goal to use only the words you are given?

    1. Michele – it’s just a fun link I discovered; I don’t get anything for sharing it πŸ™ƒ

      The “goal” is whatever you want it to be. You can always click the button on the lower right for more words – you’ll see that it cycles you through a finite list of them. I tried using all the words the first time I did this, but that didn’t work as well as I would have liked… I’m finding that picking out only the words that speak to me brings better results.

      1. I was teasing about the two cents. 😁 But, you should! Thank you for the explanation and for sharing what has worked for you. A fun writer’s resource. πŸ˜„
