My blogger-poet-friend Ingrid inspired me to create a Twitter account and start writing #APoemADay, which I began on January 1, 2021.
To make this challenge easier for myself, I have recently taken to using some of the poems that I share here on my blog on my Twitter account, and I’ve also taken to writing more haikus, which are short. To be honest, I somewhat feel that I am hitting my stride with this daily challenge, and I am enjoying haikus more than I would have expected 😊
Below is my 8th week of Twitter poems:
Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem,
David
These are all amazing.
Candice –
That’s very sweet of you. In general, I’m very appreciative of this daily challenge that Ingrid and I have set for ourselves ~ it really forces my juices to get flowing 😀
Sincerely,
David
And I’m appreciative of you posting your journey with it. It has inspired me to commit to writing something new everyday. I can only imagine the growth I’ll encounter!
I’m so glad 😀
Ingrid inspired me to take this on – so it’s wonderful to pass it along!
Lovely poems David and so impressed you are posting and staying up with it all! I so love the you creating these poems for your daughter.
I don’t see photos?
Shabbat shalom to you!💖
Cindy, not sure why you cannot see the pics – each of my tweets has one.
🤷♂️
David
me either… i’m away,, maybe that’s it
David, all the poems are intriguing, but I especially liked the poem and photo about the frosted rose and the poem and photo about putting your daughter to bed! ❤ I can't even get myself to bed. 🙂
the silence of the night is precious to me, Cheryl.
what can I say? 😉
Hehe.. Putting my little one to sleep now. I can totally relate🤣
I assume many parents with little kids can relate to that one 💘
I still like the green moss river winds. (K)
Me too❣️
These are all good, but I especially loved the last one. I have been feeling much the same as that poem lately. :)) 😆🎉🙌
Thank you, Lia❣️
I hope all is well ~ I feel like I haven’t seen much of you lately.
Yours,
David
I haven’t been around much it’s true. I have three online courses on the go! And still behind on homework. ;)) But I really am enjoying them. Thank you so much for the sweet reply! 💕
Nice poems David 💖 with some catchy photographs too. Putting children to sleep is quite a job, but they grow up so fast and then we miss those days. You are building memories in those poems.
Thank you so kindly, Deb. I really appreciate your comment. One of the reasons I write is for my daughter to have these memories in the future!
Yours,
David
Nice poetry my friend. Good luck.
Thanks, Lokesh ❤

So glad you are sharing your wonderful poetry here. No Twitter account for me. Shabbat Shalom.
Shabbat shalom, Lauren ❤
I believe you are hitting your stride, David, while I am flagging 😂 hopefully for this coming week I have more energy…
Thanks, Ingrid – I don’t think that’s a fair comparison – I didn’t have any excuses to flag this week!
Yours,
David
