This Is Passover; again it'll pass all us over Masses motor story, unworried at the past So fast, can't last, so that's why we repeat that story, sorry if you find it boring; This Freedom, redone, we're playing the rerun It's said words weigh, though I'd say no way Paragraphs versus verses, sentenced them All to death; This Clever letter, hits maybe even better Play free on repeat; it won't skip a beat It's crazy the ways we these minutes, hours, days flee; see them, the end, only in passing; This. This. This is. This is my passage.
Shabbat & Pesach (Passover)
Dear friends, I am offline for two days until sunset on Sunday so I will be unable to respond to your comments until then. I’ll miss you ๐
Love this verse and intent – well done and the passage is safe finally.
You know, I do generally feel safe to be Jewish in Israel, but I can’t say that about many other places on earth. The more I read about the Jewish people’s history, even over the past few hundred years, and even when I read the news about rates of antisemitic incidents in the USA today… the less secure I feel ๐ฆ
I wish it were not so.

Your liberation is rooted in scripture. Freedom from slavery. It’s historic, spiritual and political. A deeply religious time full of celebration I might say.
Great passage.

I really like this. I don’t fully understand it all (although better than if I hadn’t read Rachel Mankowitz’s post this morning). But it speaks to me. The rhythm is solid and reinforces the mood. The repetition and word play really work. It feels like a poem that is heartfelt and real and was always meant to be. It’s really great.
Worms, you are consistently very kind. I truly feel humbled by your compliment.

Iโm not familiar with the Jewish religion, so Iโll just say, peace and happiness to you.
I enjoyed your poem.
Thanks so very much, KT. I am both at peace & happy – I hope you are too!

Sometimes, but not often. But life is what it is.

can’t wait for you to come back David; and curious whether you have a way to auto-post at certain times -a s I think a couple of posts now appeared while you are signed-off.
I’m back (although I have to put my daughter to sleep shortly) ๐
Yes, I pre-posted several posts to be published on Saturday and Sunday while I was offline – there’s a scheduling function on WordPress: https://wordpress.com/support/schedule-a-post-or-page/
Take a look at that link if you’d like to know more!
Yours,
David
bah humbug – bet that scheduling function is not for the poor folk: am using free wordpress; and as I just had a nap while promising myself to get some work done – I’ll postpone that. ๐
I have no idea if it’s available for free accts – I only started using it very recently – in the past month or so ๐
it is very clever. ๐
stand corrected, it seems I have the scheduling function as well – unless the paywall comes up when I press ‘return’ ๐ – but I have neither Sabbath to use it for nor the many readers who miss me on same ๐
Great poem.
Thank you very much, Molly – I deeply appreciate your kind support.
