Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time. It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other.

Sending love to everyone in my Universe ……. a great reminder.
Yes! It so is.

Thank you for sharing this quote David! โค๐ The only thing sure in life is that, one day, death will come to take us away. So, let’s enjoy every single moment.
Exactly, Filipa. Thanks for sharing your resonance to the quote.

So true! Time runs out before we realise…
Isn’t it crazy, Deb? We’re constantly chugging along, and how often do we really stop to think about this?

Truely so …
Death can take us to the bottom of the pit of despair.
Leo Buscaglia (1924โ98) covers us and wraps us in the cloak of urgency, we have no time to waste.

Thanks, Abi. I agree with your interpretation 100%.

Very wise words.
Yeah. Some people can get so much truth and meaning across in so few words, Lauren. Words like these deserve to be shared.

David, I agree with all my heart.
Leo Buscaglia was an advocate for 3 hugs a day – he knew what he was talking about!!
Quite!
there are hugs and there re are hugs…
This is true. I heard of someone dying this morning whom I had not seen for many many years, due to a complicated relationship we had. When I got the news I teared up, realizing that I perhaps could have done more. She wasn’t someone I personally loved but GOD loves her and I did feel convicted about that. There’s is always stuff to learn…
Carol, Yeah. There are a lot of people that I’m not in touch with for a host of reasons… but they are all human beings who deserve, like all other human beings, to be loved.

it seems to me that in doing so we can only be authentic once we can live with, nay in our awareness of our mortality – otherwise the declaration of love may be more floatsome –

I like this. I often find myself looking at my life to-do list and wondering if I’ll finish it all before I die. I take comfort in knowing that I’m reaching goals and while I might not reach them all, it won’t be because I didn’t do as much as I could with the time I had.
That sounds really healthy and positive, Melissa. You should give yourself credit – many people don’t achieve that sort of peace of mind.

Thank you. It’s an attitude that I chose to adopt to deal with health issues and I found it’s just as useful in every other part of life. ๐
I completely, completely get that. Thank you, Melissa.
