My first Clerihew
Prime Minister Netanyahu
Was seen sipping Mai Tais in O'ahu.
Back in Jerusalem he'd left several doubles
To deal with legal and political troubles.

So many different forms of poetry! I like this. ๐

You definitely nailed the clerihew! I considered it but the political turmoil has exhausted me and I’m not yet at a place where I can see the humor…
I don’t think it has to be about a political figure…

Lovely, Carol ๐
The only disadvantage of Wix [for the purposes of my commenting] seems to be that I’m logged in with my real name, rather than ‘ben Alexander’, which I prefer for blogging-related interactions ๐

P.S. Do you like Wix? I've been to their offices – they're actually based out of Tel Aviv, Israel!
WIX takes a bit of getting used to. Yes, I knew they are based in Israel. I used to have a blog with WordPress but got tired of all the ads they kept putting on my blog. I thought I would give WIX a go and so far so good.
so there are no ads for free accounts? how do they make a profit, I wonder?
My website isn’t free. I upgraded so I wouldn’t have the ads. It didn’t cost that much to set up as WIX had 50% off at the time!
I left you comment via my google account.
Thank you so much for your comments!
I hope you don’t mind but I have acknowledged you on my website for introducing me to the ‘clerihew’. Please let me know if that is ok[?]
Carol, not at all! Thank you ๐
BTW – is your blog on WordPress? I seem to have difficulty leaving comments on it.

No, it is on WIX. You should be able to comment on it and/or Like.
Could you please send me a link to your poem?
I heard he likes ice cream too?

I’m going to give this a go! Love the whimsy nature of a ‘clerihew’.

Haha, brilliant..

Exactly. ๐

Isn’t it a piece of news you got from a newspaper?
No, it’s just a stilly poem. Although it is true that our Prime Minister is facing legal and political troubles.
You have a diverse taste as a poet David.
I’m just trying to learn the ropes, Lokesh ๐
Thank you!
Have a good day, my friend.๐
you tooโฃ๏ธ
Whose isn’t.
good question – I have no idea.
According to this – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index –
Denmark and New Zealand seem to be doing pretty well (in first place), followed by Finland, Singapore, Sweden, and Switzerland (tied for third place).
