My 1st Envelope Quintet
(a d’Verse Quadrille)
“What a bother,” she thought, as she licked the stamp, “We needn’t bother with snail mail nowadays, but Gramps can’t be bothered to use a PC, so I’ll humor his sweet, old, bothersome ways.” She knew he’d relish her letter, under his favorite lamp.
The prompt:
Come “bother” up a poem
The above ‘envelope quintet’ is my take on d’Verse’s Quadrille challenge #126.
The quadrille is simply a poem of 44 words (excluding the title), and it can take any form. This week’s challenge was to use the word “bother” in a quadrille.
This piece is entirely fictional; the subject was inspired by the name of this poetic form. Also, I found the featured image only after completing the poem itself.
Aah!!! it’s a wonderful post sir
Thanks, Ankita.
All best,
David

Writing letters in this century is bit uncommon but excitment of letter reading concept is still same and exciting…
Jimin, I totally agree with you. In fact, I think the uncommonness of it makes it even more special.
