Despairing, or: Hoping

A gogyohka

putting morality aside just for a moment
is making nothing better

  1. Hope stands alone in your poem and in life. Fragile and set adrift. It really isn’t too much to ask for, but to even hope seems foolishly naive sometimes. I don’t bother with hope…too much stress!

    1. Hope…which is whispered from Pandora’s box only after all the other plagues and sorrows had escaped, is the best and last of all things. Without it, there is only time. And time pushes at our backs like a centrifuge, forcing us outward and away, until it nudges us into oblivion.

  2. They say that the Holy Land is at the precipice of war…i say the war never ended, so how could it begin again? I fear truly the end of all we know.

      1. The war is not always in the land but in the heart. I am sorry for any misunderstanding, and I pray for your safety. I pray for healing for our people – arent we all brothers?
