just remembered reading many years ago now, in an article by Neve Shalom/Wahat at Salam’s school of peace – the Israeli reaction to fear was to move forward – be outwardly aggressive and the Arab/Palestinian typical reaction was to withdraw, inwards. The words are mine, but I seem to remember the meaning quite clearly as such.
Those who prepare prey on those who don’t. A prickly topic and one without a clear method of resolution. I suppose if enough countries blow up themselves and others, they will deplete all the weapons and there might be a small window of peace…
I would like to think that there’s another way to move forward towards peace…
