Twitter poetry 2021: Week 20

My blogger-poet-friend Ingrid inspired me to create a Twitter account and start writing #APoemADay, which I began on January 1, 2021.

Here in Israel, we are now at a ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza (as of last night)… and some of my poetry from this week and from last was naturally “inspired” (if war can inspire) by the horrible hostilities. On a positive note, my Mama is now visiting us from the USA, and it’s life-affirming to watch her playing with her granddaughter, whom she hadn’t seen in person for nearly 1.5 years:

👵 + 👧 = 💞

Anyway, below is my 20th week of Twitter poems:

Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem,
David
