almost, or: Tired

A free verse quadrille

lacking
motivation to even capitalize my letters; nah
it’s stylistic –capitalized one
only to change it –cuz that’s creative
right? almost missed it, actually
cuz my puter screen is smudged up, and I'm lacking
the motivation to spray it and wipe
it down. Tired

A d’Verse prompt

The above free verse poem is my take on d’Verse’s Quadrille challenge #130.

The quadrille is simply a poem of 44 words (excluding the title), and it can take any form. This week’s challenge was to use the word “smudge” in a quadrille.

  1. Love the lack of motivation to cap letters … I rarely do and when I do I often change them. As always, love your creativity and many thanks for visiting my blog.

  2. I’m the reverse, the app I uses automatically capitalizes every first word and I’m too lazy to uncap it; the lazy effort and justification though speaks to my soul.

It’s one of those days! Sometimes our bodily timekeeper meant us to have a rest. Love the playful humour in this too, ben!

    1. 😀 Thanks so much 😀

BTW, please feel free to call me ‘David’ ~ that’s my first name. The word ‘ben’ in Hebrew simply means ‘son of’, and my father’s name was ‘Alexander’ so I took that pen name after his death.
