My blogger-poet-friend Ingrid inspired me to create a Twitter account and start writing #APoemADay, which I began on January 1, 2021.
This week I went with several different poetic forms, but I think I’ll make an attempt at posting seven gogyohkas on Twitter for next week… I’ve been growing fond of them for their flexibility. This week, I actually “cheated” a bit because I split a two stanza poem I’d written into two halves for Twitter, rather than writing an entirely new micropoem. But the truth is, I really did feel that each half of that poem could stand on its own, and the subject, as you’ll see below, is very dear to my heart! โ
Anyway, please enjoy this last week’s Twitter poems!

I hope it got you through the day ๐
Thanks, Marion.

I read the 2 about coffee to my husband – he agrees whole heartedly. Coffee is king.
I like him ๐
The Jesus joke and the coffee – I can relate to the latter, David.

Well, if you can’t get vaccinated, there’s always coffee ๐

And I take full advantage of it.

David, the Jesus joke cracked me up! ๐ Take care!

Shabbat shalom,

The 20/06 one appeals to my sense of humour! ๐คฃ
Maybe I should do a week of schuttelreims… but honestly, they’re actually really hard!
I havenโt checked out the rules yetโฆ
it’s easy to understand – the last two words of the two lines have to be a spoonerism.
That founds sun!
It is. But the hard part is making both lines make sense ๐
I can imagine ๐
great poetry
โค Thank you, Margrethe โค
Sincerely,
David
