A [serious] limerick
A Muslim goes to Christian hell;
and a Christian to Muslim as well.
Is it simply understood
that we *all* are screwed?
Is that why most men stay in their shells?

Would outer darkness suit better, then we would be oblivious.
If it’s reflective of the truth, I’d say yes.
Who can keep track of all the rules? Heaven sounds just awful anyway. (K)
I can’t remember where I first heard that idea, but I agree!

Nothing worse than hell than the wrong hell ๐
Heheheheh!
๐ but seriously too, yes, that’s why we turn turtle ๐
BTW “turn turtle” has a double meaning – it’s also an expression ๐ข
Yes indeed, though it’s not used over here much.
Yup
Yes, none of your friends would be there, and you wouldn’t know the Rules and might be kicked out.

Ha ha seems hell is jewish though is quite benign compared to ours. What is the name of the really awful place, begins with T I think.
I like this poem, David, and can very much relate to it. I am in recovery from Christian fundamentalism just now, so I will stay in my shell for the time being. ๐๐ข๐

But do we know we don’t know! ๐ค

๐๐ David, you brightened my day. โค๏ธ๐ค

We all are indeed broken–there is some raw truth in this!

My thought too XD

Hmm. I’m not sure that we are so easily condemned – seems to me that God wants to rescue us from ourselves if we allow it!
I’m not posing hypotheticals here, Muri – these religions have doctrines that include hell for non-believers.
I like your version more, of course.

Of course the mystics of both religions will often deny that wrong beliefs will send you to hell, or even that there is such a place.
sure.
But regarding those who do believe in hell, you point out the delightful absurdity that THEIR hell is not for them but for those of other religions.
bingo.
