Sashimi, or: Short poems

A [semi-serious] limerick

Sashimi is a delicacy
but resembles raw fish flesh to me.
So could we perhaps say
that a few words per day
are refined and profound poetry?

  1. I was just reading a blog about setting limits to force creativity! The short poems are definitely in that category. I find that haiku force me to pare down my words to bare bones to convey the message… a good exercise! As for sashimi, it is very tasty… but I adore sushi!

  2. I definitely think we can! Nicely written, David. That does look like raw fish flesh, I agree. I may not like it, but the cats will. 😁
