d’Verse

This is an experiment in chant poetry that was inspired by the d’Verse ‘chant poetry’ prompt.

We were instructed to either write a chant with real words or nonsense words where we focus on the sound and how it shall be sung.

Or incorporate elements of chant with hypnotic repetitions

    1. I did, and I didn’t… it’s really not the sort of thing that I’m usually inclined to write… but that’s why prompts are so great, right? they get us out of our comfort zones!

  1. Node is such an interesting and complex word. But in a way the meanings don’t matter, it’s the sound that dominates here. The N-sound always seems like an obstacle to me. Like this is a spell of removal. (K)

  2. I’m amazed at the complexity of this one, David, and am waiting for completion of that last sentence …. I “no” it’s out there somewhere.
