    1. Anika, my grandmother always used to say (in pretty much every conversation that I had with her, which used to be daily) that health is the single most important asset than any of us have.

  1. Very nice. I particularly enjoyed the irony in the second half of the post. And, yes, how to find a good balance of staying healthy and still enjoying life is the key.

  2. don’t yet sign on the dotted line
    your clean bill of health

learn first we are all on a spectrum
    not: ‘gesundheit macht frei’ –

      1. I gathered you would; the phrase ‘we are all on the spectrum (of human experience)’ I keep borrowing from a well-known psychiatry-survivor movement rep turned academic ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. So true. Good health is one of the easiest things to be complacent about. And then, when a shock arrives, it feels like your body has betrayed you. And then you start to believe anything can go wrong. It’s an amazing upturning of belief.

    1. Shavua tov, Rhonda. I’m glad you appreciated these – it’s really interesting to read through other people’s pearls of wisdom and pick out the one that most resonate with me ๐Ÿ™‚
