Lines, or: The healthy kind

A landay

The first line left him trembling, sweaty;
his racing heart convulsed at the second, longer line

When I have a creative insight, there is a high. I think back in the day, I made music as much as I did because it made me feel so good. I think you could argue that there is a creative addiction – but, you know, the healthy kind.

  1. I’ve never smoked and I don’t like alcohol. But I’m addicted to travelling, books, writing, music, cinema and… chocolate! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃโœˆ๐Ÿš†๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ”–โœ’๐ŸŽผ๐ŸŽง๐Ÿ“ฝ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅž

      1. Well of course. ๐Ÿฅฐ my mind went straight to my the first time i meant my college roommate and she opened the door cutting cocaine and I near fainted never having done drugs. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

  2. I totally agree..If I am working on a big creative project..a video or building a virtual world that can take months,..Time flies by…and there is an obsession to just keep going until it’s finished///Once it’s finished….after being on a high for two days(“Yay! It’s finished!”) I find I have a terrible let down…almost like a postpartum depression and the only thing that can make me feel better…? Start another big project as soon as possible!:) and the cycle continues….
