Waiting as time marches on makes me wonder – is time is moving my hopes closer to me or further away?
that’s very interesting… wouldn’t it be different for different hopes?
and when I see those eyes I can’t wait … Hope! nicely done David๐

You’re welcome David๐

Now this is a poetic quandary. Don’t know which one comes first.
You’ve stumped me with this one. ๐

How can four simple lines say so much? Bravo David! ๐๐ปโค๐
โค thanks, Filipa. you're very sweet โค
Can they though? I am the sort who feels my weightiest hopes absolutely cannot wait!
๐คทโโ๏ธ
so does that mean that they can’t wait, or does it mean that you can’t wait for them?
Fair point about me not being able to wait. That is certainly true. I am a rather impatient person.
But that (events, material things, etc) which we hope and dream for don’t really “wait”. Things we hope for either happen or they don’t happen.
So emotional and evocative. You make the most profound statements with brevity, and it amazes me because I struggle with it personally in poetry. You know where it hits, and thatโs a sign of an amazing writer!
You are so kind, Lucy ๐ฅฒ
It’s really fantastic
