A Limerick
There's a singular magical cherry,
Without which ~ mornings could get hairy.
Many who fancy caffeine
Believe its seed is a bean,
Which... when dried, milled & roasted makes merry!
d’Verse poetics
‘Always in Season’
At d’Verse, poets were prompted to let fruit find its way into our poems; and as far as I’m concerned, there’s but one fruit that matters…
Aha…that’s one I would never have thought of…..although after one taste, I’ve never had a cup.
Really โ๏ธ
Yes, really. I don’t even like the smell of it. Tea is my caffeine. ๐
That’s legit ๐
Ahh this is great stuff ๐ nice limerick, I found it funny ๐ and btw here’s a small one from me:
๐ Quaran ๐
Perfect! ๐
๐ Punam ๐
And I shout “Cheers to you, David!”
๐ Helen ๐
Well, arenโt you the clever one, David! None of us considered this most necessary fruit!
๐คฉ it’s the one closest to my heart ๐คฉ
You are totally getting into my head, David. Fun poem!
๐ Paul ๐
I love reading limericks but detest writing them ( I only do it as a penance)! I’m sure that those who crave caffeine can relate to this one – since I never learned to like coffee I’ll just enjoy the delight of the words!
Tea?
Indeed, perfection. (K)

You are the emoji king.
My greatest claim to fame! ๐
Now Iโm hungry for cherries
Apparently, they can make some sort of tea from the cherries themselves….
Brilliant! Off to make a coffee now….can’t think who may have put that into my head….. ๐
