Twitter poetry 2021: Week 41

My blogger-poet-friend Ingrid inspired me to create a Twitter account and start writing #APoemADay, which I began on January 1, 2021.

This week, I posted a series of kimos to Twitter, which I wrote a while ago… Actually, I’m thrilled to say that I’ve completed my full year’s worth of micropoems for 2021, meaning that I no longer have to compose poems for this particular project. From here on out, I’ll only be posting these weekly compilations of micropoems on Fridays! Huzzah!

I hope you enjoy these kimos!

  1. David the variety of these is so very creative! I love the language play and the whimsy of the punctuation and forms within the form of the Kimo!

  2. Love the futuristic Kimo
A thousand years is but a twinkling of an eye.

    Beautiful Kimo
    You are so inspiring
    Wonderful therapy
    Both seeped in ancient text
I shall work the haiku and consult Kimo in between

    1. that one was a lot of fun – it really came together magically, somehow… not even sure how I found the right words for it! (seriously!)

      1. Oh now you have sparked something inside of me
It’s just so amazing that the oral stories are captured.
I will need to get away from the keyboard
Sit with a pen paper in between kimo haiku and landay
Channel them to teach me some things and how to express these things.

    1. Some are poor writers, some successful authors –
But I love the escapism and particilarly the needy women and brooding male portrayed in most lol…the ones I read with all the flowery language in romance cheered me up. I was young, and they quenched my love and romantic thirst.

This is a terrific kimo steady very steady capturing two or three contrasting themes.
      Photogenic poetry
