A Blitz Poem
EPIGRAPH:

A poet must be a psychologist, but a secret one: he should know and feel the roots of phenomena but present only the phenomena themselves in full bloom or as they fade away.
–Ivan Turgenev (1818 – 1883)

Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.
–Ben Harper (b. 1969)
Would you like to create poetry with me and have a completed poem of yours featured here at the Skeptic’s Kaddish? I am very excited to have launched the ‘Poetry Partners’ initiative and am looking forward to meeting and creating with you… Check it out!
[…] I became acquainted with Blitz poetry by way of The skeptic’s kaddish . An example of a Blitz poem by David [ben Alexander] can be found HERE. […]
well done! ❤
Nice one. The mind and heart are fighting for supremacy in this one. 🙂

On the mark. (K)

the Blitz might be one of my fav formats, well done! Love your ‘poet’ quote 🙂
really? I think it’s super fun – it makes me let go of control when writing, which is the opposite of what I’m usually inclined to do 🙂
❤
David
exactly, it unleashes a part of us we usually hold rigid … and takes us to unknown places 🙂
Looks like you’ve been reading too much political commentary or watching C-Span! Hehe! Your Blitz is wonderful!
I read about politics in the USA and Israel a lot 🙂
Seeing where this took you was an interesting insight into your mind. I’ll have to try it sometime.
Darius, yeah – actually I think that’s one of the coolest things about the ‘blitz’ – it really is fun to see where your thoughts take you when you let go of control in this way 😀
❤
David
How do you do it?! I remain in awe.
❤ Monika ❤
Honestly, I feel like this particular form just flows – that's why it's called a blitz, ya know 😉

The last four lines!! I loved the way this blitz poem progressed, but the last four lines were….unexpected 😶.
And btw, I tried my hand at writing a Minute Poem:

cool 🙂 ~ I haven’t written any minute poems – how did you find this form?
http://shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/minute.html
I was just browsing the site for interesting forms and this one caught my eye! 😀
I’ll have to try my hand at one of these.
I’ll be sure to read it when it comes 🙂
🖤🖤🖤 this one!!!
😍 Kris 😍 – thank you so much!

You are so very welcome! Thank you!!
Fascinating how the title emerged from this blitz
I could embrace all the themes
There is so much logic
And chaos inside of this blitz
Prostitution, I pray it isn’t a time bomb
And a house is so difficult to run
would you say ‘logical chaos’? or ‘chaotic logic’? 😉
Lol….
I absolutely love what you did there
Both or one of the two
Either one, both are perfect
😂
You’re like a font of knowledge on poetry forms, I love finding out about different poetry forms on your blog. Like this one, very punchy 🤛
😁 Rae 😁 – you’re very kind, but that isn’t true… I simply look for forms on poetry websites & discover some new ones from other poets here on WordPress… I’ve only been writing poetry for ~1½ years.
❤
