Hemingway, or: Picasso

A limerick

Dad had a stapler, but he couldn't find it...
Finished manuscript, but - couldn't bind it.
Toothy toddler grinned, "Pop, to be frank,
I Picasso'd your sheets loose and blank...
So - pay me, please, if you wouldn't mind it!"

Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.

Ben Harper (b. 1969)

Would you like to create poetry with me and have a completed poem of yours featured here at the Skeptic’s Kaddish? I am very excited to have launched the ‘Poetry Partners’ initiative and am looking forward to meeting and creating with you… Check it out!

    1. โค Lauretta โค – that is incredibly kind and sweet of you, but also entirely untrue – I promise. I just play with words a lot, as do many other incredibly talented writer-poets here on WordPress.

      Sincerely,
      David

          1. In India, we have these kulfis , cone like ice creams that we delightfully slurp, best savored by me when returning home from school ๐Ÿ˜.They’re heavenly!

      1. In Paris, no doubt. I was thinking of a trip to Schenectady so I could schmooze with some creative genius before I die, to borrow some notoriety. Missed out on the glamorized civil wars; that โ€œcrazy Asian warโ€ not recalled by anyone anywhere (save a few insane Millennials) with any sense of nobility or honorabel valor, so thereโ€™s nothing there to use.
