But one is born with potential…

Free the child’s potential, and you will transform him into the world.

Maria Montessori (1870-1952)

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.

Confucius (c. 551 – c. 479 BCE)

No one knows how big your potential is, how big your heart is, when you start.

Muggsy Bogues (b. 1965)

One isn’t necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.

Every morning brings new potential, but if you dwell on the misfortunes of the day before, you tend to overlook tremendous opportunities.

        1. Lamittan, please feel free to call me ‘David’. That is my first name. The word ‘ben’ simply means ‘son of’ in Hebrew, and my father’s name was ‘Alexander’. I know it’s confusing because ‘Ben’ is also a common name in English… sorry for the confusion!

          Sincerely,
          David

  1. At first I was inclined to go with Maria Montessori because I enjoyed her teaching methods, but …–Maya Angelou (1928 – 2014), just speaks something marvelous

  2. A fruitful mediation, David. Thank you. 🙂

“The metaphor is perhaps one of man’s most fruitful potentialities. Its efficacy verges on magic, and it seems a tool for creation which God forgot inside one of His creatures when He made him.” José Ortega y Gasset
