A shadorma
peer pressure does not draw me as a subject for verse; but my poet community's writing about it I resist the great temptation to compose in free verse like fellow bards just to prove how unique I am
Shadorma?
- six-line stanzas (or sestets);
- each stanza has a syllable count of 3/5/3/3/7/5, for a total of 26 syllables;
- may consist of one stanza, or an unlimited number of stanzas.

Ha! I love your take on this while skewering free verse! It is similar to pottery โ the student who makes a sloppy pot is considered unskilled but a potter who can make a perfect pot and then smashes one side is seen as a great artistโฆAnd I just wrote a free verse for the W3! Perhaps I should revise itโฆ

But yes, the mastery is knowing and operating with great abandonment within the boundaries of all.

Peer pressure does invoke the feelings of wanting to be free and perhaps even being defensive. Unique reaction of individuality. Wonderful write with the tinge of humour thrown in, David!
