My choice since her observation still stands today and if one consider what has happened in America in recent times.
More than that Steinem attributed her feminist learning to women of color. Women like Audre Lorde, Alice Walker and Gloria Josephs. There are many others too. She also held the view that older women think that their experience is still relevant — which it may be, but they will only know that if they listen to younger women. In her feminist journey Steindm acknowledges the experiences of marginalized women. She said it allows us (white feminist and the movement at large) to better address and dismantle inequality — and this extends beyond experiences with race.
Thank you so much for sharing all of that, Abi ~ you taught me something!
Thank you David, I’m happy I could do that. I read these women when I was young. Besides we hosted Audre Lorde fairly often at one of the universities in Germany particularly during women’s month which allowed me to experience her teachings and own experiences in America, first hand.
Much love too.

I am loving the death quotes. Much as it hurts those left behind, it’s important to remember that for life to occur, death has to happen. A good day to you!
