Bogomolny, or: Georgakas

Poetry Partners #119

‘Iโ€™m a walking, talking, rhyming Bogomolny’, a poem by Cindy Georgakas of ‘Unique Times with Cindy’

Up & Atom
words rhyming.
People think Iโ€™m touched itโ€™s true,
except
for those of you, who turn words too.
I search for my thesaurus,
nowhere to be found,
so I Google it.
looking for similes
to make my day sound.
I turn over words
inside out,
toss them up,
scratch them out,
Get out the white out
empty slate,
clean jargon,
Everyday I do it again.
A new form born,
how many words,
letters or syllables?
My deck is stacked.
My mind is like a steel trap
Except when it gets brain freeze.
My name is David
Iโ€™m a walking dictionary!

‘I’m a loving, open, giving Georgakas’, a poem by ben Alexander of โ€˜The Skepticโ€™s Kaddishโ€™

No form can contain my love,
Nor my giving nature.
All I do is straight from the heart,
As is everything I write ~
To you and you and you and you
Yes, all of you, to all of you
I am a friend, truest of true
I love you; I care; I read you;
I share; I support all your dreams;
I offer you wise, gentle advice;
Heck, I make videos for you!
(you've watched 'em, right?)
My sincerity and cuteness
are totally of the hook, so I'm told...
Kindness unhinged,
If ya know what I mean!
I wear myself out;
I give to my children;
to my husband; to our parents;
to our friends near and far...
The list is endless, it seems,
but it's all so very, very worth it! I have
absolutely no regrets
for this full, bountiful life I lead
full of love, from below and above,
full of you, full of all, full
beyond capacity ~
I'm loving, open, giving ~
I'm just little ol' me ~ Cindy!

Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.

Would you like to create poetry with me and have a completed poem of yours featured here at the Skeptic’s Kaddish? I am very excited to have launched the ‘Poetry Partners’ initiative and am looking forward to meeting and creating with you… Check it out!

  1. Delightful! Both of you managed to capture the essence of the other in this collaboration. Two of my favorites poets and people here on WP, and double the goodness to have a collaboration between you two! Well done, my friends! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I forgot about this David and loved it David. Thanks for making my morning finding this here! There were no brain freeze moments here and my mind and heart are flipping sommersaults with your kind hearted words. Wonder if I can make that into a video?! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
    Thanks so much my friend for seeing me ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
