A ‘Diablo’ poem
Children's laughter rings from the street
Spring's much absorbed by summer's heat
Innocence lies
I feel myself betrayed by youth
A father's love can't shade the truth
Although it tries
Eyes open, I know love deceives
Sure as the rainbows of the leaves
Sly sin of fate's
With passing years, I autumn more
Having accepted what's in store
My winter waits

Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.

Do you really feel betrayed by youth? I can’t get my mind around that. (K)
Yes, by my foolish naiveté back then
I’m still foolish, so I don’t feel betrayed at all. Although now I know just how very much I don’t know. But I’ve always been clueless.
Fair enough ☺️
But of course now you’ve got me thinking about the concept of betrayal….

I wish that we could shuffle the seasons, like a deck of cards!
We can’t protect each other (or ourselves) from the past.
Thanks for sharing your thoughtful words. 🙏🏻
