I teach my
child to think about

them apart.
I say, "Breakfast is 'breaking'
your 'fast' when you wake."
My child bursts
with unexpected
insights. One
morning, at
breakfast, she exclaims, "after-

Love it! The lightbulb moments. I wish I could remember connections like these that my girls have made. Tangentially related, even in their teens, there are times they speak a word they’ve generally only read, and mispronounce it. We always tell them, better here at home than in public!
