A ‘Septolet’
Russia’s military fortunes in Ukraine continue deteriorating. Russia intensifies its crackdown on free speech.
Septolet?
The Septolet is a poem consisting of seven lines containing fourteen words with a break anywhere in between the two parts. Both parts deal with the same thought and create a picture.
Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.
–Ben Harper (b. 1969)

Horrific numbers – and that was just of soldiers. Who is counting civilians killed??
😢 Muri 😢
goose stepping cracked pots
shatter glass
death
mutilation
children, women, men
.
far away, I weep in a corner
of prayer
.
😥 Danial 😥
The standard tried and tested Russian weapon: if all else fails, use propaganda.
😡 Dolly 😡
Folk are swooning about Zelensky
Without the other body count
13 000 Ukrainian soldiers alone
Dead already
Hasten Peace.
💛 Abi 💛 ~ yeah… I saw that number in the news today… And many, many more times that number among the Russian troops…
Yes I also saw it in the news.
The cost of war is expensive
No matter who has to die.
I can’t even separate the body count
All round it is just barbaric.
