Returned home, or: Evolves away

returned home
never to leave here
neither home
here nor there
left to devolve life to fate
choice evolves away

Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.

Ben Harper (b. 1969)

Would you like to create poetry with me and have a completed poem of yours featured here at the Skeptic’s Kaddish? I am very excited to have launched the ‘Poetry Partners’ initiative and am looking forward to meeting and creating with you… Check it out!

  1. I can never blink or peruse and say ah yes he perfected the SHADORMA.
    Upon reading, you nailed it.
For me it is a complicated form to memorize, even though I have read quite a few of yours before.
And then to portray these, can I call it shadowy feelings; is truly jaw-dropping amazing.

In a small way I can enter into these feelings
And I hope life will continue to shade and shelter me
As the deep impressions of the plaza I intimately once knew as home begin to fade
    The kismet of my life
Distance and absence is the mix I guess.
