REBLOG: ‘Immortality’ by Filipa Moreira Da Cruz

Poem:

Death will never tear us apart
You belong to that special category
You are everywhere
Your voice is in my mind
Always
Your wise advice are dancing in my brain
Faultless
Your sweet hug keeps me company
All the time
Memories will be my best friend
No matter what
Your body is weak and shrunken
It’s OK
One day, the pain will slide away
Forever
But our love will remain
For Eternity
Why would you need a cracked body
If you already have the most important?
A beautiful clear soul
And remember, yours is immortal.

  1. Filipa is a talented writer/photographer with a true poet’s soul. It’s so good to see her work reblogged here, especially this beautifully poignant poem. Thanks, David, for sharing her poetry with us. 🙂

  2. “Why would you need a cracked body If you already have the most important?
    🖕🖕🖕
A beautiful clear soul” these are beautiful and true lines!

  3. Soulfully committed
    With an emphatic introduction
    Forever near and close
    By
In my heart, in my mind
    Your spirit will always remain
    Alive
Beautiful love letter from one soul to another.
An acrostic would give a name to the letter.
