A haibun
wet sidewalks glisten languages rush as tourists eschew umbrellas
We arrived for a week’s vacation in Budapest this evening, and I find the city lovely- certainly very, very vibrant. Of course, that’s because we’ve rented an apartment in the city center, putting us right in the middle of all the action.
The weather is pleasant ~ it was rainy today, but not too rainy; most pedestrians simply ignored the precipitation. Much of the time, it was merely a warm drizzle. I feel myself moved to write a series of short haibun journal entries during our stay.
Let’s write poetry together!

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.

Would you like to create poetry with me and have a completed poem of yours featured here at the Skeptic’s Kaddish? I am very excited to have launched the ‘Poetry Partners’ initiative and am looking forward to meeting and creating with you… Check it out!
This is gorgeous David both your halibun and your photo. Did you take it?
